13 injured in Butler County school bus, truck crash

Twelve students from the Slippery Rock Area School District were taken to the hospital for examination after a school bus and truck collided Friday near Portersville in Butler County.State police said the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions as they rounded a curve on narrow Cornelius Road in Worth Township and collided shortly.

The truck driver, Michael V. Solomon, 30, of Brackenridge, was taken to Jamison Hospital in New Castle with what state police described as a serious injury. Both vehicles sustained serious damage.
