One driver was injured after a two-vehicle wreck on Brevard Road Saturday afternoon, Asheville police said.
Both vehicles ran red lights, leading to the collision. A Ford F-350 truck pulled out into the intersection at Interstate 26 and was waiting to turn left when a Toyota RAV4, traveling north on Brevard Road, ran a red light.
The driver of the Toyota was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown to the passenger side of the vehicle. She hit her head on the passenger-side window but did not sustain serious injuries, said Officer Ann Fowler. She is being treated at Mission Hospitals.
The driver of the truck was unharmed, Fowler said. Names of the motorists were not available.
